Paying for Therapy

Understanding the cost of therapy can feel like one more thing to navigate when you’re already trying to find the right support for your child. My goal is to make this part of the process as clear and straightforward as possible, with transparent information about fees, insurance reimbursement, and payment options.

Billing & Insurance

I do not bill insurance directly and am not an in-network provider with insurance plans. Depending on your individual plan and out-of-network benefits, you may be eligible for partial reimbursement for services.

I can provide you with a superbill that you can submit to your insurance company if you choose to seek reimbursement. I recommend checking with your insurance provider directly to understand your out-of-network benefits.

Payment is due at the time of service and can be made by credit card, cash, or HSA funds.

Rates

Cost

  • Flat rate: $ 2,400  

  • Payments: $500 at the initial interview appointment and $1900 after the final feedback session, when you receive a copy of the evaluation report.

  • If the standard payment schedule creates a challenge for your family, please reach out to discuss possible options.

How it works

The flat fee includes a thorough, individualized evaluation conducted entirely by Dr. Jessica Norman Wells, including direct testing and behavioral observation with your child (typically 4–6 hours), careful integration of parent and teacher input, and comprehensive interpretation of all results. When helpful, we can also incorporate school observations.

You will receive a detailed written report that goes beyond test scores to explain what the findings mean, including diagnostic clarification when appropriate and personalized recommendations across home, school, and daily life. The written report is intended to provide a roadmap for the coming years, offering clarity, direction, and actionable next steps.

  • Initial Intake Appointment - $225

  • Subsequent therapy or parent coaching sessions - $185 

How it works

I begin therapeutic services with a clinical assessment involving an interview with parents and administration of questionnaires related to your child’s emotions and behavior. 

Ongoing therapy and parent coaching sessions are $185 (60-minute session).
